Scone Palace is one of Scotland’s most popular and iconic visitor attractions offering an array of unique, historic and cultural experiences.
Steeped in history, discover over a thousand years of history inside the Palace walls where many Scottish Kings of the past, from Robert the Bruce to Macbeth, were crowned. Expert guides are on hand to bring the stories of the Stone of Scone on Moot Hill, the Long Gallery where Queen Victoria witnessed an early demonstration of Curling, and many other historic events to life during your visit.
Enjoy yhe palaces outstanding offering in the Old Kitchen Coffee Shop where delicious home grown produce from the Palace’s Kitchen Garden is available for visitors to enjoy, as well as traditional freshly baked scones from Scone. Then, pick up a gift or memento, including a range of culinary produce and over 40 single malt whiskies, in the Scone Palace Gift Shop.
Outside, there are over 100 acres of spectacular grounds and world-class gardens to enjoy in the land of David Douglas, one of Scotland’s most famous plant hunters who once worked as a gardener at Scone Palace. There’s also an adventure playground and a star shaped maze.
During the winter, from November to March, visitors have free access to the Palace grounds and Coffee Shop every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am-4.00pm.
