Once Upon A Time there was a little girl who loved books so much she dreamed at night that she could crawl between the covers of her favourite tales and live in the lands full of white rabbits, grinning cats, magic wardrobes and whales who could swallow a man whole.
She wished and wished that she one day she would grow up and spend her days telling stories and weaving her imagination into the ears and minds of all of the people in the land.
And so she did, because stories are the best thing in the world ever and imagination is a greater gift than any other you can buy or sell or steal!
All of the children of the land agreed with her and they came out to rejoice in the glory of the book. Characters as large as life and as wonderful as talking foxes and flying fairies swept through the schools in celebration of WORLD BOOK DAY and mums and dads lined up with cameras ready to capture the magic.
And they all lived happily ever after in a wee white house on the top of the hill.
....But not quite!
