In the first of its kind for our area, ‘Sunday Social’ features a range of food trucks from across Scotland and celebrates all that is good about laid-back eating without compromising on the taste factor with drinks also available at the Yard’s fully licensed bars including their famous Yard Bloody Mary. All hail!

After a terrific response to their launch event last month, event organiser Stine Hope looks forward to welcoming more food fans to their upcoming Sunday events which she hopes will run every week from 12-6pm until Christmas.
Sunday loungers can eat, drink and get comfy while listening to an eclectic line-up of local musicians and DJ’s.

“There’s been such a great atmosphere here thanks to the fantastic people of Perth and beyond. For us, it’s about building a community and offering food that some people may not have had the chance to try before. Our hope is that a visit to The Yard becomes a regular part of people’s Sunday,” said Stine.

“Glasgow and Edinburgh have led the way in terms of top quality street food. But we are determined to catch up fast.

“There are already more than 100 food trucks operating in Scotland now and we aim to bring the best we can to Perth for locals and tourists alike to sample,” she added.

Yard FacepaintSituated next to the Ice Factory on Shore Road, The Yard has a fantastic covered seating area and space heaters so Sunday loungers can eat, drink and get comfy while listening to an eclectic line-up of local musicians and DJ’s

The Glitter Bar, face painting and hair braiding have also proved popular so loungers really get your glam on.

Best news? You don’t need to register or faff about with tickets to come to the Yard. There’s a small £2 entry fee and kids under 12 are free. Dogs (of any age!) are free to come too.  If you are planning to enjoy a beer, then play safe and take the bus into the city centre. So rev up those appetite engines foodies! A truck never looked tastier…
