Stride For Life Perth & Kinross

When we started our Fitness section on Small City we wanted to make sure our readers knew that getting fit or staying active doesn't need to cost the earth.

The wonderful (and FREE!) Stride for Life walks can be found weekly throughout Perthshire, run in partnership between Live Active Leisure, NHS Tayside and Paths For All.

The walks are led by local volunteers who will encourage you to get out and enjoy fresh air, a stroll, a chat and usually a cuppa at the end! They are a great way to explore the local area and meet other people in your community.

The Stride for Life walks are suitable for everyone and are an easy way of chalking up some of your recommended 150 minutes of activity. There's no need to book, simply turn up at the venue at the right time, dressed for the weather, and off you go!

The wonderful Walk Leaders give up their time to be trained (by Live Active) and then commit weekly to leading a walk in their area.

There are walks just for men or women, walks that offer two or three options, city walks, town walks, walks for active parents and ones for the people who like to breathe in the fresh country air!

These Stride for Life walks can be found weekly throughout Perthshire and Kinross and the best bit of all... they are FREE! That's right, no cost at all. You simply turn up at the right time, on the right day to the right place and you can join in the chat.

They are open to EVERYONE. No excuse for age, length of legs or fitness level. Make sure you're comfortable and as well as getting in your 30 minutes of activity, you'll enjoy fresh air, a stroll, and a natter!

Details of all walks are through the links below - Happy Walking!
