Perthshire in Autumn

Kristy Ashton is among that elusive group of women who have given up the sunshine and beaches of Perth, Australia for the forests and lochs of Perthshire, Scotland.   Her motto is simple; if you don't see the little things in life, you miss a lot.

She followed her heart to our bonny Shire and four weeks after she met him, she married local boy, Ian Ashton. Eleven years later it still remains my all time favourite 'whirlwind romance' story and she, thankfully, still remains happily in love with both Ian and Perthshire.

Since then they have had two children and Kristy is determined that in this new age of screens and technology, her kids will grow up with her love of the nature and the great outdoors.  They will often go off on adventures, camera in hand, ready to capture the world around them.

She recently entered and won a competition that embraced exactly this philosophy. The idea was that just because the weather's getting colder doesn't mean #EverydayLifeOutdoors has to stop. Her image of mist clearing through a sunset captured the spirit of this perfectly.

This is her Autumn in Perthshire Gallery, which we are thrilled to be showcasing for her.
