Every now and then we need to be reminded of the simple pleasures that are ready and waiting right here on our doorstep. Take a look around and its plain to see that Mother Nature fell in love with our wee corner of the world and bestowed on us some of the most glorious of her birds, beasts and fauna.
We caught up with Daniele from Perthshire Wildlife and asked her to share with us some of her favourite wild moments of 2016 so far.
It turns out that Summer 2016 has been a lot of fun for Perthshire Wildlife with brilliant sightings of adult beavers and kits. Danielle got as close to their habitat as possible with beaver safaris by canoe proving to be a big hit with everyone.

She's also been foraging through woods and alongside rivers, gone dipping for amazing-looking dragonflies, breathed in the gorgeous aroma of bluebell woods, led guided walks on Perthshire's gem of a long-distance route, the Cateran Trail and carried out surveys of the wonderful swift and lots more.
She has also been running guided wildlife tours across Perthshire to spot red squirrels, ospreys, black and red grouse, red and roe deer and short-eared owls. And all of this through scenery which never fails to amaze at its spectacularness.
As well as guided walks, Danielle keeps busy with consultancy work, helping swifts, bats, tree sparrows, salmon and
barn owls throughout Perthshire and Angus. And our native wildflower nursery Celtica Wildflowers where we grow beautiful, native, Scottish wildflowers to help people improve their parks and gardens for wildlife has expanded!
Danielle's next event is the ever-popular Spooky Species for Halloween are the animals which are unfortunately put into the cauldron in MacBeth's witches’ spell really spooky? Or are they really our friends?
