Started in 2008, Perthshire Open Studios is now in its 9th year and attracts a staggering 18,000 visitors annually. This year the event runs from 3rd – 11th September and will include over 200 artists across 139 studios, workshops and galleries. All the workshops and galleries involved will be open to members of the public to see the artists at work and where everything is made. Some artists will be doing demonstrations, many providing refreshment and all guaranteeing a warm welcome.
There are seven coloured open studio routes covering Perthshire and Kinross. You can pick up a brochure or check online to choose a route or a particular form of art that interests you. Enjoy the cafes and places to eat that are on route and plan an enjoyable day out in the stunning scenery of Perthshire and Kinross. All of the Exhibitions and studios are free to visit.
There will also be a showcase exhibition at The Bield at Blackruthven running from this weekend of the 27th August untill 11th September.
