Perth & Kinross Council provides safe and secure, short and long stay car parks and on-street parking in the city centre. See the city centre map alongside or the Perth Parking Guide for more details. You can also pick up a Parking Guide at Pullar House in Kinnoull Street, St John’s Shopping Centre or Canal Street Multi Storey Car Park.

Paying for parking: Cashless parking has been introduced as an alternative method of payment, making it easier, simpler and more convenient for motorists. For details visit PKC website here>>>

Free Parking for Blue Badge Holders: Blue badge holders can park free in any of the Council’s car parks and on-street parking bays and in other on-street locations subject to the normal conditions of use of their badges. Further parking details at PKC website here >>>

Park + Ride: Operates from Broxden, Scone and Kinross. Further details on the Park and Ride page of the PKC website.

Free parking in Perth City

15 minutes of free parking- all year round: All 3 zones allow 15 minutes of free parking.  This only applies to Council-run car parks and on-street parking spaces. A valid ticket must be displayed and can be acquired free of charge by pressing the button on the parking machine.

For South Inch Car Park and Canal Street Multi-Storey Car Park, present the ticket at the exit barrier up to 15 minutes after entry.

Overnight & Sunday Free Parking - all year round: The Council’s car parks and on-street pay-and-display bays are free from Mon to Sat from 6pm to 8am and all day Sun.

Additional Free Festive Parking: Free Festive Parking will run from Saturday November 30th and then every Saturday in December  - 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th - in Council-run car parks only.  This means parking is free ALL WEEKEND throughout December.

Please note, unlike 15 minutes free, overnights and Sundays, Free For Festive does not apply to on-street car parking. It does not apply to any of the Live Active Leisure carparks which are currently branded PKC.

How to be sure: The pay machines in the carparks which are free will be covered on Friday nights from 6pm and will be lifted off again in time for payments being made on Monday morning.
