Scone Palace, one of Scotland's favourite visitor attractions, will welcome back the popular "January Jog" event this month, giving people a chance to brush off those January blues with a gentle 5k jog around the grounds of the estate.
The family (and dog) friendly event, which will take place on Sunday 26th January at 11am, is the perfect antidote to the festive over-eating, and a chance to get into the beautiful outdoors on what is one of Scotland's most stunning private estates.

Once finished, visitors will be able to warm up in the Old Servants' Hall Coffee Shop with a hot chocolate and a delicious ‘Scone @ Scone'. Participants with dogs can also bring their canine jogging companion in to the Palace for rest and refreshments in the pet-friendly Old Kitchen Coffee Shop.
The Palace houses an outstanding collection of antiques, paintings and rare artefacts and the grounds are renowned throughout the world, making the stately home one of the most popular tourist attractions in both Perth and Scotland.
Poised above the River Tay in Perthshire, Scone Palace overlooks the routes north to the Highlands and east through Strathmore to the coast. The Grampian mountains form a distant backdrop, and across the river stands the city of Perth.
This event is family and dog friendly and is suitable for beginners along with experienced runners.
The beautiful Mansfield Estates stretch from fertile arable land by the banks of the River Tay at Scone, famed for its salmon fishing, to the hills of North Logiealmond. There are also fine woodlands on the grounds and policies of Scone Palace, including the original Douglas Fir and a magnificent Victorian pinetum.
This event is family and 'dog' friendly and is suitable for beginners along with experienced runners. If you aren't a runner, don't worry you can come along and cheer them on. Enjoy a fresh coffee and home-baked scone in our coffee shop, four-legged friends are welcome in our Old Kitchen coffee shop too!
Entries are now open and cost £10 per person. Further information and entry details can be found on the January Jog Eventfull listing.
