Is there anything more stunning than Perthshire in the Autumn? Golds, browns, reds and rusts burst forth from every tiny corner, every wee hill and glen a tapestry of rich, autumnal colour.
It's little wonder that we're famed the world over as Big Tree Country; with more than 200,000 acres of woodlands, including more champion trees than anywhere else in the UK, Perthshire is a spectacular example of nature at her most beautiful.
This week's gallery has been compiled by local photographer, Tom Brydone and captures the first glow of Autumn a little over three weeks ago. Taken around both Glen Lyon and Moulin Moor above Pitlochry, the dark, slate skies filled with rain clouds bring a striking contrast to the bright leaves and babbling streams of the surrounding countryside.
Roads, mountains, rivers and fields blend into one glorious photographic gallery that showcases Scotland's vast landscape and rugged beauty in its most glorious of coats. Autumn.
Gallery Photographer: Tom Brydone was a Service Manager with Perth & Kinross Council for many years but has always held an interest in photography. He’ll turn his camera to virtually anything and enjoys the getting out and about around his Perthshire home taking advantage of the stunning countryside her on our doorstep.
