Golf is not often associated with fitness, but did you know that a golfer walks an average of 4 miles per round, either carrying or pulling your clubs plus swinging at the ball… several times for many… you could burn up to 1400 calories.
The Murrayshall course has been voted into the Top 100 golf courses in Scotland by Golf World magazine and Lynedoch recently won a Scottish Golf Tourism Award. Combined with excellent practise facilities, a spacious clubhouse and well stocked golf shop, Murrayshall is the ideal venue for your golf in 2016.
For new members joining prior to the 28th February there will be no joining fee, a saving of up to £350.00
Surrounded by two 18 hole golf courses, set in 350 acres of beautiful park and woodland populated by deer, hare and wild birds, the historic Murrayshall House Hotel is overlooked by spectacular mountains and within easy reach of both the diverse city of Perth and mile upon mile of beautiful Perthshire countryside.
The Murrayshall Estate is home to both the Murrayshall and Lynedoch Golf Courses. Two prestigious but very different eighteen hole courses, they provide a hugely enjoyable challenge for guests and visiting golfers.
Listed in Bunkered magazines top 20 golfing experiences December 2013 and voted as one of the Top 100 golf courses in Scotland by GolfWorld.
Both courses are a real contrast to one another – Murrayshall Championship, the wider, longer course requires length and accuracy from the tee shot, this will allow golfers the opportunity to approach greens from the correct angle, widening the view of the pin. Lynedoch however is shorter but no less a challenge, tighter fairways, bracken filled gullies and tall Scots Pine trees narrow the golfer’s view of fairways and greens.
With so much on offer to keen golfers of all levels, it’s no surprise that Murrayshall House Hotel has become globally renowned as a provider of top quality golfing breaks and golf days out in the historic home of golf.
