Keep One Step Ahead for Autumn 2014

We caught up with Lori from Eva Lucia to chat about one of our favourite subjects - beautiful boots and gorgeous shoes. Always a step ahead, Perth's youngest independent shoe retailer is clearing the last of the summer stock out (you can still pick up a few sale bargains!) to make way for this Autumn's key trends.

One of the most exciting trends is the Thigh High Boot. I love it - its always a great fashion season for me when we're all strutting around in our thigh highs!

The Knee High Boot makes a return - does it ever really go away? - and this season it has a feminine look with a smart heel.

Lots of the catwalks featured winter favourite suede leather. There is some stunning feather detailing on shoes and boots that you may have seen on Dries Van Noten and Alexander Mcqueens footwear collections.  The jewelled and embellished detail is super hot for nights out over winter 2014.

Ankle straps are here to stay! They have been big for the last few seasons and they're not set to disappear anytime soon.

Heels have everything you might want this season! From one extreme to other. You can go chunky or keep it spiked. This great shoe blends two great trends with its leopard heel and insole.

And my own favourite reptile skin and leopard print. These Idolise Shoes from Moda In Pelle are amazing! I love the gold bar heel.  Animal prints are perfect for dressing up jeans, bringing an edge to a little black dress or clashing with another print.
