Championing the very best local produce and home-grown culinary talent from across the region, this tasty event brings together chefs, bakers, producers, distillers and food lovers for what is undoubtedly the area’s largest and most diverse food and drink festival.
This year’s launch event takes place alongside A Taste of the Past Weekend – The Great Food Heritage Quest to be held on 31st August at Perth Museum & Art Gallery.
"A free fun activity for all the family leading you on a quest around the Fair City to find sites of food-related shops of the past. Learn about the history of some of the shops on our doorstep and discover what interesting things there are to see when you just ’look up’.
"Start your quest at Perth Museum & Art Gallery by decorating your own treasure chest then solve each clue to take you on your trail around Perth to seek the ‘treasures’ to add to your box. Stop at food kiosks to sample ‘tastes of the past’ and learn about the City Hall redevelopment project. Complete the one or both of the quest trails to receive your edible reward."
