Crafty Hens

Make-I-Do has been making and inspiring for 2 years in Pitlochry, Perthshire. 'Crafty Hens' started when a bride-to-be wanted to help with making pretty jars for her flowers. Since then Make-I-Do has encouraged others to make inspired items for themed parties or events. A 3 hour crafting session with Make-I-Do at Burmieston Farm and Steading is a perfect way to switch off from technology and tune in to your creative side.

Whether you want to make something useful for your home or make favours/placecards/table-décor for your wedding or party - We supply the inspiration, venue and equipment, including upcycling of materials. All you need is the squad.

Floristry Workshops

Jill Sutherland of Flora Alba at Falkland Palace in Fife is offering bespoke friendly and relaxed workshops for small groups. Jill provides natural floristry and floral displays for weddings, events and homes with workshops tailored to suit.

Recent workshops include how to grow and use the flowers in your own garden or bought flowers to create beautiful individual gifts and displays, hand tied bouquets and seasonal wreaths. No floristry or growing experience necessary. Head along and be inspired to get creative with beautiful Scottish local flowers.

Escape Barn

Perthshire’s first ever ESCAPE BARN!

Escape rooms are popping up all over the place but this is certainly the first escape barn in Perthshire and as far as we know, the whole of Scotland!

Following our extremely popular festive weekend when we teamed up with ‘Dragonfly Yurts’ to create our “ESCAPE THE YURT” event in Pitlochry, we have come up with a brand new challenge especially designed for Burmieston’s threshing barn.

In keeping with the ethos of Burmieston, you won’t find any high tech gadgetry or power hungry special effects, just a barnful of cryptic puzzles and mind-bending challenges to solve using a sprinkling of lateral thinking, a big dollop of mental agility and a bucketful of teamwork. It’s ideal for teambuilding, hen and stag events or just to challenge family and friends.

Everything needed to get OUT…. will be IN the barn, with a puzzle master on hand to give a clue or three if required! Its designed ideally for teams of 4 – 6 (or just two or three if you think you’re super bright!) Age – probably 14 and over depending on how clever you think you are!
