Jeans - the versatile wardrobe staple that takes us from busy toddler through to bus riding OAP! Everyone loves their denim and no wonder - what other item of clothing works just as hard on a dancefloor as it does in a building site?
Invented by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss in 1873, Jeans were named after the city of Genoa in Italy, a place where cotton corduroy, called either jean or jeane, was manufactured. Levi Strauss. Undoubtedly one of the greatest culture markers of the last 140 years, what started life as working clothes became a symbol of disobedience and finally a fashion item for people across the globe.
Nowadays you will find demin dyed in every colour and cut to every shape and length. However, there is nothing like a trusty pair of blue jeans and we've chosen three of this year's fabulous styles for wearing at all ages.
