The Business and Accounting department at Perth College UHI offers a wide range of subject areas from SCQF Levels 5 - 10 within Business, Administration and Accounting from National Certificate to Honours degree.
Employers locally and nationally are involved to ensure that all courses provide the most current knowledge and skills required in the workplace. With a practical foundation, students can expect to be developing and applying their new skills from day one.
Highly experienced and enthusiastic staff support students to achieve their full potential and gain the best possible educational experience within the department.
Students undertake a work experience placement providing a valuable insight into the real world of work.
All NC/NQ students together with HND Administration and Information Technology students undertake a work experience placement providing a valuable insight into the real world of work. Volunteering is also integral in the curriculum area and all students are encouraged to undertake placements with public, private and third sector organisations in order to apply their skills and knowledge in real scenarios.
Scholarships from GS Brown, Thorntons Law, Volpa and St. Johnstone Football Club provide financial and practical assistance to successful applicants.
Some Accountancy courses provide exemptions from the earlier parts of some UK Accountancy bodies’ exams. The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance course allows students to achieve some professional accreditation through ACCA.
