With January upon us I'm sure there many of you hitting the gyms, taking up new sports and digging out old racquets, football boots and skiis in a bid to get your cardio up and your muscles flexed.
However, there are also a whole host of people living amongst us who eat, sleep and breathe their sport of choice year in and year out. These are the passionate few who will run in the rain, cycle in the snow and put the lengths into the pool regardless of whether they've eaten all the Christmas pies or not!
Now in its 26th year, the prestigious Perth & Kinross Sports Awards event is upon us and everyone has the chance to vote for their favourites. From school teams to local Olympians, individual coaches to triathlons, pony clubs, tennis events and more, these awards recognise the huge wealth of local sporting talent and the many achievements of local sports personalities, businesses and clubs.
Nominations are now open and YOU can put forward the club, individual or event you think deserves to be recognised at this year's award ceremony. Entries will be judged on achievements from 1st January to 31st December 2016 so think back for the past year and get voting - complete the entry form here>>>
