Have you heard of the town called Switch
Which was visited each Halloween by a terrible witch?
She had a tall, purple hat and long green nails
And would fly on a broom with a cat that wails
The people in town would run screaming and shouting
“Gather up our children – the witch is on an outing”
They would all run inside and lock the doors tight
And talk of the fear and the worry and the fright
Then one day they decided enough was enough
They would get rid of that witch and her evil stuff
They would think of a plan for next Halloween
To finish off that witch good and clean
The Mayor read a book that was called ‘the Wizard of Oz’
This would be the answer to their cause
They would melt that evil and wicked witch
And she would be gone from the town of Switch
So at Halloween they gathered together buckets and buckets
And prayed for wet weather
They heard the wails and the witch swooped down
They grabbed their pails and ran across the ground
They threw all the water on top of the witch
And shouted “never come back to the town of Switch”
“I’m melting, I’m melting” the witch cried out
And her cat began to sniffle and pout
The witch disappeared, the cat ran away
And were never seen again – hip hip hooray!
