This summer, Scone Palace has a calendar packed with both indoor and outdoor events, so, come rain or sunshine, there is something for all ages to experience. As one of Scotland’s most popular visitor attractions, Scone Palace is open every day throughout the summer months.
Visitors can explore the site of the Stone of Scone where Kings of Scotland were once crowned, soak up the rich history inside the Palace walls and enjoy the beautiful gardens where you will find the world-famous Douglas Fir. As well as offering an array of activities in the Palace and Grounds, Scone Palace is host to some of the most celebrated events in Perthshire.
Potfest, an International Ceramic Arts Festival returns to celebrate its 20th anniversary in June. Then, in July Scone Palace will host the GWCT Scottish Game Fair, one of Scotland’s largest outdoor country events, and Rewind, a retro 80’s music festival that attracts thousands of revellers to the Palace annually. This year’s headliners include Rick Astley, ABC and Adam Ant amongst other nostalgic musical acts.
By August, Scone Palace will be celebrating one of its most famous Kings at the Robert the Bruce Festival where there will be 13th century re-enactments and fun family activities throughout the day in the Palace grounds.
This year, Scone Palace is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a visitor attraction by offering all visitors the opportunity to upgrade their Palace and Grounds Entrance Ticket to a Palace and Grounds Season Ticket at no extra charge, meaning visitors can enjoy unlimited entry throughout summer 2016.
