If the special man in your life loves adventure and the great outdoors, then Scone Palace has an array of activities and events for him to enjoy this summer. As one of Scotland’s largest and most popular visitor attractions, Scone Palace offers history inside the Palace walls and stunning grounds and gardens for him to explore, as well as a range of country sports on the Scone Palace Estate.
Located on the banks of the River Tay, Scone Palace Estate offers fantastic access to the silvery river, famous for salmon fishing. Pheasant and grouse shooting as well as deer stalking are all available to participate in on the Estate, and all experience levels are welcomed.
With the arrival of summer, Scone Palace will host the GWCT Scottish Game Fair in July, one of Scotland’s largest outdoor country events. Then, Rewind, a retro 80’s music festival that attracts thousands of revellers to the Palace annually, will take place in the Palace’s spectacular grounds. This year’s headliners include Rick Astley, ABC and Adam Ant amongst other nostalgic musical acts.
By August, Scone Palace will be celebrating one of its most famous Kings at the Robert the Bruce Festival where there will be 13th century re-enactments and fun family activities throughout the day in the Palace grounds. A great opportunity for the man in your life to enjoy the famous and historic stories of the crowning place of Scottish Kings.
All of these events and activities offer the special man in your life an exciting and truly memorable experience in the heart of Perthshire at one of the area’s most iconic landmarks.
This year, Scone Palace is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a visitor attraction by offering all visitors the opportunity to upgrade their Palace and Grounds Entrance Ticket to a Palace and Grounds Season Ticket at no extra charge, meaning visitors can enjoy unlimited entry throughout summer 2016.
