Rugby Nippers

Rugby Nippers is Perthshire’s exciting rugby programme for girls and boys from 2 to 5 years old.

Rugby Nippers teaches young children the very first skills of rugby in a fun, safe environment.

They use the fundamental ABCs of physical activity – Agility, Balance and Coordination – whilst developing social skills such as listening, teamwork, and following instructions. Coaches are fully qualified, first aid trained, and experienced, and each class is designed to help your child learn to work as a team, make new friends and develop new skills throughout the course.

Starting at 2 years of age helps your child get a head start in the sport, crucial for establishing an ongoing enjoyment of the game or even a career in the sport!

Rugby Nippers classes run in blocks of 6 weeks,

Saturday mornings, Burnside hall, Scone

9.30 to 10.15 Teeny Nippers (2 years)

10.15 to 11.00 Mini Nippers (3 years)

11.00 to 11.45 Junior Nippers (4 -5 years)

Rugby Nippers Parties!

TRY! Their parties are a perfect entertainment package for a fun, action-packed, rugby-mad birthday! They come to you and take the entertaining out of your hands. Rugby Nippers will tailor each party to your child’s age and the size of their group. Parties can be delivered for children from 3 to 10 years old.

Rugby Coaching Session at Craigclowan Pre- School

"27 children aged 3-5years enjoyed a great fun physical play activity this week when qualified rugby coach, James Knight, came to join us in the Gym Hall for rugby coaching session.  We learned how to hold the ball correctly, pass and throw the ball and work as a team player.  We now plan to continue rugby practice sessions with a view to building a winning Scottish team."- Irene Hay (Head of Pre-School)
