Pull On Your Dancing Shoes

Since she opened the doors of her beautiful dancewear shop way back in 1988, Sharon Colburn has been dressing the feet of the Small City's dancers.  That's twenty seven years and several generations of ballet, tap, highland and jazz dancers taking their tentative first steps between the walls of Arabesque in Hospital Street.

 

During this time, Sharon and the team have built an enviable reputation as one of Scotland's leading dance shoe specialists and never has this title been more appropriate than now.  

 

Merlet DIVA pointe shoe, is a new ballet shoe which has been entirely developed and produced in Merlet's small workshop in Limoges, France.  And Arabesque are extremely excited to be one of only 4 four shops in Scotland to stock the prestigious brand.

 

What better way to celebrate than with an official launch that will see Perth born ballerina, Steph Rae, demonstrate the Merlet Diva. Steph's journey of becoming a professional ballerina from Julie Young classes to royal ballet, elmhurst and conservatoire of scotland is one we're planning to tell you all about in a Big Personality spot very soon.

 

Meanwhile, you can see her in action at Arabesque this Sunday 26th September between 12 noon and 4pm, where as well as putting the Merlet DIVA through its pointe paces, she will be giving technique advice and answering any questions about studying dance.
