Provender Brown Gets Fruity - And Juicy!

It would be fair to say that Provender Brown is one of our favourite shops in Perth. In fact, as a dyed-in-the-wool foodie, Provender Brown is one of my favourite shops EVER!  So when we saw the recent facebook post from Diane, Martine and the gang, advertising their new veg boxes we knew it was going to be a good day!

If you speak to Diane she will tell you of her longing for a PB fruit and veg section. In amongst the cheeses, hams, chocolate bars and rapeseed oils she feels there is a wee tattie shaped hole in their award-winning deli offer.  However, as all regulars to her George Street shop will know, there's not an inch of space remaining for racks of courgettes or baskets of pears. Not to be deterred, the team put their thinking caps on and came up with this fabulous veg box idea.

Delivered from Mollinsburn Farm Shop, the boxes will be delivered to Provender Brown on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will be available for you to pre-order and pick up.  There's a choice of organic or regular veg and they come in different sizes and price points.

“The mollinsburn boxes are terrific value and we were all really impressed with the quality of their produce.  We wanted something that was nice and easy for people to order and collect and with this, you don't have to sign up weekly. You can order as and when you want one and collect from the shop. We’re really pleased to be working with Mollinsburn – they’re a great company and their standards are as high as ours when it comes to fresh food.”

As well as the fruit and veg boxes there are also juicing boxes which are designed to give you all the ingredients you need for following the healthy juice diets.  

We’re launching our #SCBP Perthshire Recipe Blog this Thursday and I reckon we might have to pull in one of these fabbie boxes on a Ready Steady Cook style mission. Is Gill ready I wonder?

The boxes will be delivered to Provender Brown on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Place your orders by 10am Friday for Tuesday collection and 10am Tuesday for Thursday collection.
