Organised by Perthshire Rugby, and sponsored by Tan International Ltd a local business with close ties to Perthshire Rugby, this is a cavalcade of rugby matches, beer tasting, musical interludes and much more!
Essential for testing the beer, and getting the weekend off to a start, the Big County Quiz is set to take place on Friday 6th May with teams from across the region competing for glory while enjoying a beer or two in the process.

Proceedings kick off on the Saturday 7th May with the Perthshire Rugby’s 7’s tournament, part of the Legacy 7’s circuit, show-casing some spectacular rugby skills and followed by a Golden Oldies (35+) tournament which is sure to be entertaining and also well worth a watch.
The beer pumps will be in action from noon where you will be met with a friendly smile and great bar staff assisting with your every need. A staggering selection of beers from around the country will be on offer, so there will certainly be something to tickle your taste buds and, a selection of fine wines, ciders and soft drinks will also be available.
The community development team will be operating a kid zone on the Saturday to give some their first taste of rugby or to test the most advanced of players. The participation in short fun games will also keep enthusiasm going throughout the course of the day.
And, to stave off that hunger, our barbecue will be sizzling with sausages and burgers throughout the day.
A great day out with something for everyone so why not come down and enjoy a beer, bring the kids to run off some steam, have a nice bite to eat, and enjoy the festival atmosphere.

One of the UK’shottest live bands will be making its debut this year, with Big Vern n the Shootahs to help everyone get into the beer festival spirit.
Known for their classic soul and funk numbers and a big band sound, have been rocking audiences all over the UK since 1989. The Glasgow-based 9-piece is renowned throughout the live music circuit as the ultimate feel-good party band – perfect for headlining the day of fun, games and beer that’s planned at Perth’s North Inch.
