PERTH INDIE WINNER

The final count was fiercely close with over 6000 of you casting your vote for your favourite Perth Indie in the 2015 Independent Business of the Year competition. But when the electronic was added to the paper, Copperfields Hairdressing and Beauty  pipped Tayberry Gallery to the post and was awarded the much sought after trophy!  WHOOP WHOOP! Well done to Derek, Fiona and the entire team of stylists, apprentices and therapists.

The competition is now in its third year and invites local people to celebrate the amazing array of Independent shops, hairdressers, cafes and restaurants that we have on offer in our Small City. It is no secret that I am a huge fan of our small businesses and I love that we all get together and give each and every one of them a big old pat on the back!  At the risk of sounding like the #PerthCheeseFest, I really do think we’re all winners given the number of fabulous, original businesses that we have here in the city.

We want to see photographs of your gorgeous feet in your new swanky shoes, your butcher's steaks sizzling under your grill, your new pans making soup, your trendy cocktails, crazy dancing at a big ass concert, fabulous pizzas, uber-cool new hair-do and all the other wonderful things you buy from Perth's amazing range of independent shops, restaurants, delis, butchers, hairdressers, cafes and events.

• Once a month we'll draw one person using the tag to win £50 of vouchers for that month's independent Perth business
