Oxlays opened it's doors on St John's Place, Perth, in 2015. Owned by Pastry Chef extraordiniere Gerard Chouet who among others (Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons to name but one) has worked in some extraordinary places.
Having been head pastry chef for Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles for some 7 years Gerard decided it was time to realise his dream of opening his very own small Patisserie business last year- and his reputation precedes him.
The 'Small City' has welcomed him with open arms and this cafe come cookery school is fast developing a reputation for it's simple, beautifully cooked food not to mention hand made chocolates, macarons, ice cream and French patisserie.
This year Oxalys is offfering a range of dark, milk and white chocolate Easter creations to celebrate the season which can be bought by popping into the cafe (they're sure to be popular thought, so you might want to order ahead!)
