From Saturday 28th January to Tuesday 14th February between 3pm and 10pm, the beautiful Norrie Miller walk on the banks of the River Tay will be lit up every evening in a glorious display of colourful lights.
If you missed the one-off special event during Perth’s Cultural Celebrations Event back in November then you really must save a date in your diary for this one.
Live music, food & drink and other wonderful mini-events including theme nights to mark Chinese New Year and St Valentine’s Day. The look and feel of the riverside walk will change throughout the run, making it perfect for return visits.
You will also be able to pick up tasty food and drink as you go with teh following fantastic local providers on site to keep you full and happy!
Performances at the special event nights will take place at varying times between 5pm and 9pm.
1. 28th January: Opening night with a Scottish Theme for Burns Night
Featuring a lone piper and Highland Dancer, Perth & District Pipe Band, a fire show, and Perth’s own Adventure Circus acrobatic displays.
2. 30th January: Chinese New Year Themed Night
From 4.45pm follow Perth’s annual Chinese New Year parade through the city, led by the Perthshire Chinese Community. Leaving from 2 High Street the left into King Edward Street, left into St John Street then to a ticketed Salutation Hotel event. Norie-Miller Walk will carry on the festivities, featuring firecrackers and Chinese arts demonstrations along the riverside.
3. 3rd, 4th and 5th February: Wonderland Themed Weekend
Norie-Miller Walk will be turned into a special Wonderland event, featuring stilt walkers, mad hatters and fire shows. Adventure Circus will also be returning for one of the Wonderland nights.
4. 10th – 14th February: Valentine’s Theme
From 10-14 February the riverside walk will turn into a very special lover’s lane, with sparkling wine, chocolates, and food on offer on site, or as the perfect place for a romantic walk after dinner in one of Perth’s many restaurants.
