Perth's Christmas Light Switch On is upon us and this year its all about the stage! A fabulous line up of big names, local talent and old favourites will strut their stuff and entertain the masses at this year's Big Event!
Here's how its going to look on Saturday 22nd November 2014! >>>>>
Lady Miss Emma is the formidable drivetime force at Heartland FM and a much-loved Perthshire singer-songwriter. She is a regular on the Scottish live music circuit and has a loyal fanbase across the globe!
She's also been featured as our #BigPersonality of the week and if you'd like to find out all there is to know about her then read A Life Lived Mostly In Music here.
Everyone's favourite aussie, Peter Andre first hit the charts back in the nineties when he was the sixth highest selling artist in the UK (I know! Who knew?!). He's had numerous number one hit singles, two number one albums and toured all over the world collecting a multitude of national and international awards along the way.
He's now the new host of ITV1's Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover and is touring with his new album this autumn, accompanied by gospel singers and brass with a sprinkling of rock ‘n’ roll guitar.
He's won Dad of the year three years running and is a weekly columnist for New! magazine.
***PLEASE let him belt out Mysterious Girl!***
I know all the girls are cheering on Peter but this is the act for me! I am beyond excited! LIVE in Perth and bringing a whole host of their favourite tracks, Boney M featuring Maizie Williams have made my Christmas already!
From Mary's Boy Child to The Rivers of Babylon, Boney M. sang and danced to sell-out audiences from Wembley to Moscow, winning hundreds of silver, gold and platinum discs. They were officially awarded Most Successful Act of 1978 in the UK. (Iwas 6 and danced in my living room with my sister!)
Maizie Williams was with Boney M. from the very beginning and now recreates the the special music of Boney M. with her own band of musicians.
Jack Pack were Britain's Got Talent finalists this year and have just been signed to Simon Cowell's record label. A hot favourite with everyone from wee girls to grandmas, the band transports listeners back to a timeless era. Swing classics such as My, That’s Life and Feeling Good are all in their act with sensational lead vocals and tight harmonies.
The group were giving three standing ovations throughout their BGT experience. Simon Cowell described their performance in the BGT final as "Outstanding" while fellow judge Amanda Holden informed the public that the boys had just "Stolen Michael Bublé’s crown!" That's big ol' shoes to fill!
Jack Pack are; Andrew 32, Alfie 24, Sean 32 and Martin 31.
OMG! Lorraine Crosby is the girl who duetted with Meatloaf on the No 1 world-wide hit "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That !)" - which means I have pretended to be her singing into my hairbrush!
She is a stunning singer and has numerous live & recorded vocal credits with Meatloaf, Bonnie Tyler & Jim Steinman. Her own stage act brings great covers of favourite songs by artists such as Abba, Amy Winehouse, Girls Aloud, Pointer Sisters, Jacksons, Queen, Christina Aguilera, Meatloaf, Beatles, Blues Bros, Tina Turner and many more.
Our local talent, Sienna, formed in summer 2012 and were the first band from Kinross to ever perform at the legendary T in the Park. An unsigned band at the time, they packed out the T Break tent, following in the footsteps of fellow Scots Biffy Clyro.
They performed on the festival circuit this summer and made a big splash at Belladrum Tartan Heart, Kendal Calling in the Lake District and Heb Celt in Stornoway.
Sienna released their debut EP 'Give Me Your Love’ last year, selling out Glasgow’s King Tut’s twice and supporting Nina Nesbitt. In October they won Edinburgh radio station's Forth 1 'One to Watch' competition.
Sienna consists of singer/songwriter Danny McAtear, multi-instrumentalist Ross Mathieson, guitarist/songwriter Andy Clarke, Ben Watt on bass, and Calum Anderson on drums, with Ian Dunnett on saxophone and keys.
