Made with local rapeseed oil - we're fans of Summer Harvest! - this punchy condiment can be used while cooking, as a dressing over salads, or as a drizzle over cheeses and olives.
Chillies contain a bioactive plant compound called capsaicin, which gives the hot and spicy kick we all crave so much. Capsaicin is concentrated in the seeds and white inner membrane but it offers more than just a firey tongue lashing!
As the primary carotenoid it gives them their lush red color and typically accounts for up to 50 percent of the spice's antioxidant content. Want more? Then check out this lovely list of extras!

Chili oil contains iron, one of the major nutrients that prevent you from feeling tired and exhausted.
Containing beneficial compounds such as Capsanthin in small quantities, which raise the HDL (or good) cholestrol levels that help keep your heart healthy.
Vitamin C offers a great boost to your immune system and is the reason so many oranges were once taken to sea!
1. Heat two teaspoons of oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add chilli flakes and whole chillies.
2. Cook, stirring, until chillies start to gently sizzle, for about 1 minute. Do not brown the chillis.
3. Add the remaining oil to pot. Heat until oil is warmed through, then remove from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
4. Decant to a sterilised and sealable glass bottle and shake gently to disperse the chillies. Use within a week.
