Nothing says Easter like the Easter Bunny!
Seek out all six bunnies and win a chocolate bunny all of your own...
Glendoick's Easter Weekend is packed with bunny action.
Six bunnies are hidden all over the garden centre and you need to fill in their names on our Easter Bunny Hunt form to claim your prize of a Lindt chocolate bunny.
A small donation to Alzheimer's Scotland, Glendoick's charity for 2016, chosen by the staff, would be very welcome but not essential.
Each week the "Tiny TAYsters" will learn about a local food. They will prepare a snack from that food, sit together, enjoy their creations and then have time for songs, games and stories related to the food of the week.
For example 'Berries' week sould run like this;
Welcome song | Recipe cards given out - learn about the berries (where they grow what we can make out of different types etc) | Washing hands song
Making the recipe (berry smoothie for berry week, cheesecake for cheese week, egg and cress sandwiches, bread painting etc) loads of fun recipes all using ingredients from Tayside producers.
Then we regroup and sit together to eat the food we've made and also sing a cheeky song about table manners | After the cooking, there will be berry related songs, games and stories.
Parents can take home the recipe cards to try themselves with their child.
Team TAYsters will cook a seasonal recipe using delicious ingredients from local Carse farms and while Team TAYste are waiting for their creations to cook, they will be experimenting, testing and constructing - putting Tayside's larder through its paces and learning how exciting our local food can be. Time for volcanoes to erupt, veggie cocktails to materialise....and much more.
(Bookings for both cookery classes through Louise Donnelly loodonnelly@gmail.com or via her FB page: https://www.facebook.com/Tinytaystes)
