George Campbell & Sons Tasting Tours!

Join George Campbell & Sons, Scotland’s’ 14th Oldest Family Business for a tour of their brilliant shop and factory!

Meet their fishmongers who will be filleting different types of fish and shellfish landed around Scotland for that day's orders, ready to be transported to top Scottish restaurants and hotels. You will also get the opportunity to visit their Smoking Room and enjoy an introduction to how Scottish Salmon is smoked and how they make their Gravadlax. Not only will you get a great tour, you will also find out more about the history of the business and get to browse through the amazing archive photos!

After the tour of the fish hall and shop, you are welcomed to their demonstration kitchen for a tasting selection from their own range of delicious Seafood recipes.

There are two different tasting options available.  Both feature a tour of the factory but the menu and duration differs on both.

Welcome, coffee and shortbread– Introduction to the History of the Family Business.

Signing in for visitors and kitting up for factory tour.

Tour of fish hall and filleting demonstration.

A selection of Kitchen@GCS ready made products to taste.

Glass of wine, water or soft drink

 

Hot Smoked Salmon Pate on Spoonettes

Salmon & Leek Quiche

Sliced Smoked Salmon & Gravadlax with wasabi mayonaisse

Fish Pie in individual pots

Fresh Coffee and handmade truffles

 

£40 per person, 2 – 8 persons

Available on Wednesday and Friday

Preparation of the fish for your lunch.

 

A Typical Menu;

Glass of wine, water or soft drink

George Campbell & Sons smoked salmon and gravadlax

Scallops and black pudding with a white beurre sauce

Lobster gratin

Hake, Halibut, Wild Seabass or Cod on a risotto or bean stew or mash & kale

Chef’s choice of pudding

Fresh Coffee and handmade truffles

Whilst enjoying your freshly prepared meal in the demonstration kitchen, your Chef is available for questions, interactive ideas, hot tips and cooking techniques from the kitchen! 

 

£ 75 per person, 4 - 6 persons
