Picture yourself standing in the tranquil surroundings of Highland Perthshire; the early evening Scottish sun, warm on your face, a soft breeze whispering through the trees and only the sounds of the wildlife breaking the silence.   Behind you, as dusk approaches, a simple Kyrgyzstani yurt beckons you into its warm, spiritual centre for another night beneath the moon and stars.

Peaceful, magical and truly at one with nature this is the vision that Perthshire man Dave Walker has conjured up in his imagination and then dutifully crafted using his new-found skills, the trees from the land around him and equal measures of both love and patience (patience and passion?).

Dragonfly Yurts is one of Perthshire’s most idyllic accommodation providers, situated in Highland Perthshire. You can hire the yurt as an AirBnB, in an idealic spot near the town centre of Pitlochry.

Soon, Glampers will have the opportunity to wake up to what is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking views in Scotland; overlooking the beautiful town of Pitlochry, down the River Tummel and across the hills, this will be Dave’s own little slice of Scottish Nirvana. Dave's plans for five yurts and a communal area to be set up next to his current workshop are already in motion and he hopes to launch this in the next year!

If you’re looking for something a little different and would like to experience Highland Perthshire from a close-to-nature base then we’d highly recommend booking into Dragonfly Yurts.  You can also hire the yurt, which fits neatly into a small trailer, for transporting elsewhere.
