Deborah Warner’s evocative 2013 revival of Britten’s final operatic masterpiece, Death in Venice, was showered with one rave review after another when it appeared at London’s Coliseum with The English National Opera. The Guardian described John Graham Hall’s performance as “remarkable and harrowingly believable” With the chorus and orchestra of ENO, conducted by Edward Gardner.
