Gin, glorious gin! I was delighted to shake up, photograph and sip a few gin cocktails with Provender Brown.
Everything’s better with a good glug of gin, and this sweet bramble cocktail is no exception. The sharpness of the lime balances perfectly with the sweetness of the sugar syrup and when mixed together, it creates a deliciously sweet and sour tipple.
If you've never had it before, Crème de cassis is a sweet, dark red liqueur made from blackcurrants and its well worth investing in if you enjoy shaking up a cocktail.
It’s the perfect way to shake it up during lockdown; use it as an accompaniment for everything. From a night on the couch to a Zoom party with friends – let the fun beGIN!
1. Decant the gin, cassis, sugar syrup and lime juice into a cocktail shaker, along with some ice, and shake.
2. Pour into a glass of crushed ice and decorate with a sprig of blackcurrants or a sprig of mint.
