Queen Victoria liked to holiday in rural Perthshire because she believed the air up here was cleaner; the old monarch did have some pretty wild views about a few things but on this on we'd have to agree.
From the bonniest of heiland coos to patchwork quilts of working fields, rural Perthshire brings some of the world's most contrasting and picturesque views.
Take a stroll along a narrow country road, cross a field full of our farmyard friends or wander the ruins of a 16th century castle. The landscapes across our stunning countryside are wide-open and far-reaching, and bring together mountains, streams, hills and rivers.
Add a blanket of snow and you have the perfect combination for a stunning Winter's Tale.

I have always had a love of the outdoors and being close to nature ever since I was a little girl living in the Australian outback. After upgrading to an IPhone6 last year I started trying to capture this passion along with educating my children of the simple beauty around them. Now with a ‘real camera’ in hand, and an ever-increasing desire to ‘chase that sunset’, I can’t stop exploring! Scotland is a beautiful place and a photographer's dream.

I’m at my happiest when I’m outside and if I can get up high, then all the better. Being able to record the amazing views Scotland offers and share them on Instagram has led to fantastic friendships, both in the virtual world and also in reality when folk have come to check out these beautiful Scottish landscapes. I use both my iPhone 5s and a “real” camera, although I find its way harder getting the real camera to do what I want. All part of the challenge! I love the soft light that Scotland has…showing off the fabulous colours that define Scotland.

Despite having spent plenty of time in ‘the big city’ with my time at university, I’m a country-loving lassie at heart, having been brought up in a wee village in Perthshire, where ES is now based. From about the age of thirteen I fulfilled an instinctive love for image making in the form of capturing almost whatever I saw on camera. ES Photography very much developed out of this passionand my love of photography, beautiful Scottish views, and people that has combined to create the foundation for ES Photography.
