Occupying the kids can seem like a never ending (impossible) task on the best of days, never mind during the weekends where cries of “I’m bored” seem commonplace.

Black Watch Museum in Perth are here to help you combat this with a series of events that are certain to keep your little explorers occupied. Join in on the adventures with the Museum Explorer’s Club.

This October you are invited to bring your explorer’s along to join The Black Watch Castle & Museuam for the morning as they travel through the galleries to discover the ways in which weapons have changed over the years and what role science has played in those developments.

There will be and opportunity to pass some of these weapons around the group and then its time to try your hand at making your very own model tanks and planes!

Scotland's Black Watch is an elite military regiment whose history stretches back almost three centuries. The Museum is housed in the dramatic and historic Balhousie Castle. The castle itself is set in beautiful gardens and grounds. A visit to this ancestral home of The Black Watch truly brings this glorious regiment's past vibrantly to life.

This is very much a family friendly museum where they run a whole host of entertaining and educational events; definitely a great venue for a family day out in Perth.
