Occupying the kids can seem like a never ending (impossible) task on the best of days, never mind during the holidays where cries of “I’m bored” seem commonplace.

Black Watch Museum in Perth are here to help you combat this with a series of events that are certain to keep your little explorers occupied. Join in on the adventures with the Museum Explorer’s Club.

This July you can join the Black Watch Museum to find out all the things that make the Black Watch unique, take part in real life (almost) marching drills and learn about the intensive fitness tests that new recruits have to do to join the Army - Do you think you have what it takes?

That’s not all, after our day of fun, all of our young explorers will subsequently be invited to showcase their marching drill at our Summer Festival on Saturday 27th July!

Scotland's Black Watch is an elite military regiment whose history stretches back almost three centuries. The Museum is housed in the dramatic and historic Balhousie Castle. The castle itself is set in beautiful gardens and grounds. A visit to this ancestral home of The Black Watch truly brings this glorious regiment's past vibrantly to life.

This is very much a family friendly museum where they run a whole host of entertaining and educational events; definitely a great venue for a family day out in Perth.
