Former BBC Young Musician of the Year, Emma Johnson, traces the roots of traditional American jazz and pays tribute to some of the grestest clarinettists of all time - Sidney Bechet, Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw - in her fabulous show Clarinet Goes to Town.
She is accompanied by John Lenehan (piano) and Paul Clarvis (percussion), and Emma is widely regarded as Britain's favourite clarinettist. She was awarded an MBE for her services to music in 1996, and has toured the world extensively, renowned for her unparalleled ability to speak straight to an audience's heart.
