Perthshire in the Snow

It was the aptly named Jon Snow from Game of Thrones that was always banging on about how "Winter is Coming".  Well, last week in Perthshire it well and truly arrived!

The Small City Team were lucky enough to be away on a Team Building course at Dunkeld House Hotel so we promptly uploaded some snowy snaps to FaceBook and asked you if you could do the same.  The resulting gallery is a great snapshot (pun intended) of Perthshire during the recent snowfall.  We've got pics from all over and of all sorts of landscapes.  Everywhere from Little Glenshee and Comrie to Telford Bridge, from Bankfoot to the River Tummel.  A bit closer to Perth we've got pics of Quarrymills, Kinoull Hill and the North Inch that look like a veritable Winter Wonderland.

This beautiful gallery showcases Perthshire in all its winter glory with still rivers, sunset and even a highland cow posing in a snowy field.  As you browse through these stunning images, you can't help but think that Mother Nature has a particular soft spot for our amazing wee corner of the world.  Each season giving us more beauty in the wild landscape, forests, lochs, mountains and fields of Perthshire.

Thanks to all the cold snappers that contributed to our Facebook post and allowed their photos to be used here: Marysia MacFarlane, Danielle Smillie, Sonia Hamilton, Morag Simpson, Anne Graham, Tara Anderson and Keesje Crawford-Avis.

If you have any quirky or eye-catching snaps taken in Perthshire and would like them to be considered for a future gallery then please e-mail them to our own shutterbug in training Colin at colin@theredstringagency.co.uk and you could see them featured in a future Small City Gallery!  So get snapping all you budding photographers!
