Frames started as a picture framers in 1979 and this is still an important part of the business but they always had a desire to be able to also exhibit Contemporary Scottish Artists work. So, in 1991, they moved to their current premises in Perth to allow the holding of larger exhibitions. In 1997 they added a large, purpose built extension to this space to be able to expand the size and range of their exciting exhibitions.
Throughout the year they have a busy programme of exhibitions in the gallery as well as attending Art Fairs in London, Edinburgh and Bristol. This allows them to bring the wonderful Scottish Artists that they exhibit to as wide a public as possible.
Alongside the gallery there is an award-winning picture framing workshop where they can frame anything from photographs to football shirts as well as specialising in hand-finished frames for that extra special picture or curio.
