Southbank Centre's Women of the World Festival comes to Perth this October for a weekend celebrating women!

Let's hear it for the girls! Southbank Centre's Women of the World Festival is coming to Perth and we cannot wait!

It's the first WOW event ever to be held in Scotland and it promises to be a weekend packed full of fun, discussion, creativity and most of all, a celebration of the achievements of women.

Scotland's First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, will kick off WOW Perth 2017 by having a chat with the festival's founder, Jude Kelly, on stage at Perth Concert Hall from 7:30PM until 9PM. You can expect an evening of fun and frank chat as the First Minister and Jude explore some of the most potent topics from women and girls today.

Then get ready for a laugh on Saturday 28th October when Luisa Omielan takes to the stage. The hilarious comedian is bringing her smash hit show, 'Am I Right Ladies!?' to Perth Concert Hall and it's advised that you book early for this one-off special to avoid disappointment!

There are a host of other events on across the weekend with special guests including Kirsty Wark, Val McDermid, Lesley Riddoch and Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh and you can download the full programme here.
