Scotland's Black Watch is an elite military regiment whose history stretches back almost three centuries. The Museum is housed in the dramatic and historic Balhousie Castle. The castle itself is set in beautiful gardens and grounds. A visit to this ancestral home of The Black Watch truly brings this glorious regiment's past vibrantly to life.
This is very much a family friendly museum where they run a whole host of entertaining and educational events; a definitely a great venue for a family day out in Perth.
The very best way to immerse yourself in the history of the iconic Black Watch regiment is to take one of the daily tours led by the Museum’s trained and knowledge tour guides.
The tours run twice daily at daily at 11am and 2pm; we do suggest booking in advance.
