If you love vintage and retro design and are looking for something unique and different then pop on up to Sarah’s Attic in Perth. Local designer, Sarah Peterson creates one off, bespoke pieces of upcycled furniture and lamps along with limited edition framed prints and an array of gorgeous handmade cushions. You can find Sarah upstairs in Watsons of Perth on the high street in Perth city centre.

Sarah has a passion for retro & vintage design. She loves finding old unwanted, unloved pieces of furniture, objects that have character and are perhaps a little quirky, but most importantly well designed. She rescues chairs, sideboards, occasional tables and lamps, well-made pieces that were bought many years before for their quality and craftsmanship, items that were once loved but now find themselves a little worn out and unwanted. She strips each piece right back to the bare frames, removing all old finishes and fabrics and then lovingly redesigns each piece into a unique one off a kind.

Sarah finishes all her designs to the highest standard, making sure everything is in perfect condition before it leaves her workshop. When a new piece of furniture has been completed, it is given a name and its own signed certificate card telling the story of how it was found and what Sarah’s has done to it, adding a quirky little twist to each design, it is then ready to be re-homed!

As well as creating unique gorgeous designs for Sarah’s Attic, Sarah also offers a bespoke commission service where she can transform customers unloved pieces of furniture into unique one offs, creating the perfect piece of furniture that can once again be used and loved.
