After rocking at the races the previous night, it is back to an afternoon of top-class racing on Wednesday 2nd August in the final fixture of the Mackie's of Scotland Summer Series.

We reckon that we'll be pretty tired after the rock n' roll night before, but I think we will manage to pick ourselves up for another summer's afternoon at the races!

With seven races on the card and attractive prize money on offer, you are sure to see some of the best runners and riders from across the UK & Ireland flock to Perth.

It’s a great opportunity to get down to the Parade Ring and see all of your favourite horses and jockeys – so be sure to snap a selfie if you get the chance!

Grab a tasty treat from the Mackie’s Ice Cream huts while you cheer your horses over the line. If you are thirsty, why not try some of the local beers and ales from the Inveralmond and StrathBaan Breweries.

It’s sure to be an action packed day of racing as we near the end of the summer season!

HOT TIPS FROM THE TEAM

WEAR: Smart casual – dress up for a summer’s day and leave the trainers and footie colours at home!

EAT: Mackie’s Ice Cream! Get yours from one of the huts in the Grandstand area

SEE: The Parade Ring – make sure you snap a selfie with your favourite runners and riders!

DO: Head to the bars to try some of the local beers and ales.

EXTRAS: Enjoy some freshly sourced haddock from the Fish & Chip shop!

FEATURED RACING HIGHLIGHTS

Seven races are on the card with big name horses and jockeys expected to flock to Perth for a chance of winning some decent prize money.

In this meeting last year, Lisa Harrison landed a 126/1 double and the Cumbrian trainer’s runners are always worth backing at Perth as her healthy strike-rate testifies.

Also among last year’s winners were Richard Johnson and Cheltenham Gold Cup-winning jockey Paddy Brennan.
