From humble beginnings in the basement of the Sandeman Library, the archive now occupies purpose-built facilities within AK Bell Library, with over 750 collections comprising over 2 million unique, individual items relating to every aspect of Perth & Kinross history.
Each year the archive welcomes around 1700 researchers, responds to approximately 500 enquiries and participates in a wide variety of activities helping local communities to explore and celebrate their local heritage.
They are going to mark this significant anniversary by holding a month of events around the national initiative Explore Your Archive.
Talks, tours, exhibitions, workshops and film screenings will be held in the Archive and local libraries throughout November.
