It’s official – Perth’s Disney Store is open for business!
The pop-up store is based inside St. John’s Shopping Centre and started trading today, bringing the magic of Disney, Marvel and Star Wars to the people of our Small City. Mickey Mouse and friends can be found in the old Topshop unit, where you’ll find toys and accessories for kids – and the ‘big kids’ among us too!
Along with the famous Disney sparkle, the store has also brought jobs to the city as well as bringing a smile to people’s faces both young and old.
“We’re thrilled to be welcoming the prestigious Disney Store into the centre,” said St. John’s Shopping Centre’s Marketing Officer, Derek Martin, last month when the announcement was made about Disney’s imminent arrival.
He added: “We look forward immensely to the burst of vibrant colour and fun that accompanies this worldwide brand. Securing popular retailers such as this is important for both the customer experience and the future growth of the shopping centre.” We’re thrilled to be welcoming the prestigious Disney Store into the centre.
And Graham Burridge, Managing Director of Disney Store Europe echoed Derek’s sentiments.
“We’re delighted to open a pop-up Disney Store at St. John’s Shopping Centre,” Graham said.
“The store features a fantastic range of Disney, Marvel and Star Wars merchandise and is the perfect place to find the toys, gifts, collectables and everyday treats for all the family.
“Our staff look forward to welcoming the people of Perth over the coming weeks and months.”
Whether you’re a Mickey and Mini fan, love of bit of Donald Duck or Goofy, enjoy Marvel comics and movies, or have the Star Wars force in you – I’m sure you’ll agree it’s amazing to have Disney here in Perth!
And, to celebrate the city centre’s newest residents we’ve teamed up with the Disney Store and St. John’s Shopping Centre for a fantastic Small City Competition.
Pupils from Dunbarney Primary School are taking part in the Mary's Meals Backpack Project which sees everyday items sent to schoolkids in Malawi.
