Christmas Light Switch on Weekend

I LOVE Christmas and we all know that it REALLY starts when the nights get dark and the Christmas lights switch on! This year Perth has an star studded event with Peter Andre AND Boney M. featuring Maizie Williams.

The line up doesn't stop there as the whole thing is being compered by Perth's very own Lady Miss Emma from Heartland FM! The entertainment continues with Jack Pack, The Lorraine Crosby Band and rising stars Sienna from Kinross are all set to hit the stage! As well as the big name stars, Perth also has a full weekend packed full of fun, festivities and magical, seasonal cheer.

Saturday 22nd November

Kicking off on the main stage at King Edward Street with entertainment from 12 noon, you're going to find the city centre stuffed with street entertainers, fairground rides, costume characters, ice sculpting and so much more. 

MEET SANTA AT ST JOHN'S SHOPPING CENTRE

• 12pm – 5pm. Santa will be at the St John's Shopping Centre where he hopes to meet lots of good children and no naughty ones! Be quick, he's heading off to take part in the parade at 5pm. 

PERTH'S FESTIVAL OF CHOCOLATE

• All Weekend! More here on the Festival Of Chocolate page. Well, we'll all need a some sweet fuel to keep us cosy! 

ON THE MAIN STAGE IN TAY STREET

• 2pm – 4.30pm. Top entertainment coming your way from local groups and a guest DJ 
• 4pm. The Lorraine Crosby Band take to the stage to warm things up before the parade begins 

GRAND PARADE

• 5.30pm. Santa, The Provost and all our Panto Favourites will lead The Grand Parade through Perth's City Centre before the Christmas Lights Switch On 

ON THE MAIN STAGE IN TAY STREET - HERE WE GO!!

• 6pm. FIREWORKS!!
• 6.15pm. The Christmas lights are switched on 
• 6.20pm. PETER ANDRE takes to the stage 
• 7pm. BONEY M and the evening entertainment take you into the night
