Gin, glorious gin! I was delighted to shake up, photograph and sip a few gin cocktails for Provender Brown's upcoming Gin Festival on Saturday 16th September. Year one was a blast of gin fuelled marvel - just wait until you see what they have waiting for you in year two!
Everything’s better with a good glug of gin, and this sweet bramble cocktail is no exception. The sharpness of the lime balances perfectly with the sweetness of the sugar syrup and when mixed together, it creates a deliciously sweet and sour tipple. It’s the perfect way to shake it up for Spring, and as an accompaniment for everything from a night on the couch to a dinner party with friends – let the drinking beGIN!
1. Decant the gin, cassis, sugar syrup and lime juice into a cocktail shaker, along with some ice, and shake.
2. Pour into a glass of crushed ice and decorate with a sprig of blackcurrants or a sprig of mint.
